Mary learns that First Wave have discovered a plot to kill most of the world’s major religious figures at the Parliament of World Religions. The Dark Angels are sent to defend the conference, but then Cutter learns that one of the religious leaders was involved with persecution of his family in the past. In a conflict of loyalties that leaves everyone questioning everyone else, the team fight a bloody battle to stop the events that will trigger a third World War. Realising their leader could be causing the events they have all fought to stop; the Dark Angels are left with an impossible choice.
